Simon & Garfunkel's Concert In Central Park

This week's topic was picked by Nick luckily for me my music taste does not just contain my generation's music (which is really good as I don't think Mick would appreciate having to listen to KISS or David Essex). So after a week of having the album on at work and singing along (although very quietly) many notes were taken and lots of ideas went through my mind. Some of which were very possible (the obligatory Parsley/Sage/Rosemary/Thyme springs to mind) and some were a bit risque to which my volunteers ran away screaming.

Fortunately my son gave up some of his time to be my model for the weekend (he is of course used to this as his girlfriend is always using him as a model) and although I know I could do more I am really quite pleased with how these came out.

I really had to go black and white with these the pink boxing gloves didn't really fit the brief :)

In the clearing stands a boxer,
And a fighter by his trade
And he carries the reminders
Of ev'ry glove that laid him down
Or cut him till he cried out
In his anger and his shame,
"I am leaving, I am leaving."
But the fighter still remains

Well not quite sitting at the railway station but rail tracks nonetheless and the clouds really added to this one.

I'm sittin' in the railway station, got a ticket for my destination
On a tour of one-night-stands, my suitcase and guitar at hand
And every stop is neatly planned for a poet and a one-man band

Most enjoyable for me was working in black and white again. Am looking forward to seeing Mick's interpretation and seeing which songs he has picked.
