The Beatles

Well with the whole of The Beatles discography to choose from this weeks topic was so broad I couldn't pin down any one title to focus on. It did not help that I got my Christmas present early (Nick did not want me sitting at my desk all Christmas Day setting this up.........and I would have been). I am now truly the apple poster girl. Now to really get to grips with Photoshop as I have no excuse. Some days as well my focusing seems to be all up the river and no matter what camera settings I use nothing will focus. Have yet to discover if it is my eyes, my camera settings, my shaking hands or my lens.

Yesterday (no not the song title) I took pictures and downloaded them only to find iPhoto saved my RAW files as jpeg. So back to Bridge I went today and all went according to plan.

Cayenne - this was one of the jpeg files and as such I couldn't quite get the white balance right (a glass of wine didn't help either)

A Day In The Life - Another jpeg and playing with lighting that did not quite turn out.

Matchbox - Taken today and saved in RAW also with the camera attached to the mac to ensure absolutely no camera shake.

Eleanor Rigby - I always think of Bette Davis hearing this song hence the black and white treatment.

So that was my week - my colleagues at work will be relieved I am no longer singing to The Beatles (I think they get sick of the same music all week). Nick has asked Mo to pick the topic for this week and am sure it is going to take me out of my comfort zone (and my lounge room). Best of all I have just previewed this and am glad I had no problem going from pc to mac.
