Quarterly

Well Mick certainly set the standard extremely high this week. And from the shots I have seen I am really looking forward to be taken around the countryside on a photographic expedition (although I am hoping for the snow to have cleared before then). I took a step back today after trying hard to get things done in a rush yesterday I was advised to slow down and take my time. So I sent his lordship out for some flowers as I thought it is time to get back to basics and go with what you know best. Luckily for me there were sunflowers in the bunch which enabled me to try a flower I had never shot before. I have spent a very enjoyable 6 or so hours today taking photographs, playing with them in photoshop, retaking photographs and getting them right in photoshop which can only mean art is not to be rushed (probably why I always preferred pastels over oil paints........you didn't have to wait for the paint to dry!)

Love the landscape made better by the low angle, the macro is back to some of your best. See time maybe precious, but used well is richly rewarding.

Love the still life and that you kept the "Common Man" hidden from view.
