Seasons

Well better late than never. Even after a month off on leave I didn't get around to doing these photos before Christmas. I had the idea as soon as we were given the topic so I really had no excuse.

Lessons learnt this month:

1 - Need to sort out more even lighting (looks like light boxes are going onto birthday wish list)
2 - More practice required in composition of food photography (perhaps all white backgrounds are a bit overkill)
3 - Use other props I am quite pleased with Spring and Winter however both could have been improved perhaps on tables or trays (see lesson 2)

Given all of that I am pleased with them (well without being too self critical!). Needless to say we did enjoy some good food yesterday!

Spring | tea on the lawn (well not our lawn its full of weeds) punting on the Cam with scones (Nick wanted jam and cream but that goes with plain scones not sultana)

Summer | Pimms and cucumber sandwiches and the cricket (actually no cricket I had the Pimms and Nick had the sandwiches)

Autumn | hot chocolate, marshmallows and crumpets curled up on the couch with a good book

Winter | mulled wine (unfortunately they did not have any Christmas puddings or mince pies left in the shop its all Easter now)
