On to the street

17kms from our house is the town of Limoux.

This is the main square where you can drink beer, coffee and munch a croissant.

The flowers are in preparation for Tousaint on November 1st when families take them to their local cemeteries.

Behind the  main square lie the small streets where the fruit and veg market is held every Friday.

Choice, squeezing, sniffing etc are all very important to the locals.  They do not part with a centime before all these actions are executed!
Le Fromage, a very important part of French shopping a la marche!

From goats cheese hard, soft, covered in ash etc.  To the soft sometimes "fragrant" cheeses.  Lastly the hard mountain cheeses from the nearby Pyrenees.

To complement the shopping the town has a number of street musicians.

Some use added incentives usually rolled and smoked slowly to enhance their performance!!
Monsieur avec le Beret c'est tres important.
