Tumbling Through The Years

Well this month's topic and we have gone to month mainly due to my time constraints so I am hoping by the time I retire I can go back to weekly, was Tumbling Through The Years. For every decade we had been alive we had to come up with a representation that I suppose meant something to us.

1960's - well I was only alive for the last few years and I have very few memories of that time apart from getting lost in a rice field in Leeton. However the VW Combi van with flowers on the side is quite quintessentially 1960's and as Play Doh was invented in the 1960's I am sure I had some at some point.

1970's - formative school years that I have tried very hard to block out. It did however teach me some rudimentary skills such as reading, writing and arithmetic.

1980's - the years we were all trying to complete the Rubik cube without resorting to peeling the stickers off and replacing them. I spent these years in the final years of high school, my first years of work and establishing myself within my religion.

1990's - children, kindergartens, primary school, christenings, nappies, playgroups, making play doh, teaching art and my own crafts made this decade extremely busy.

2000's - the loss of my grandparents, travelling for the first time and contracting the dreaded travel bug (there is no cure for this, the more you travel the more you want), swapping my paint brushes for a camera and marrying the man of my dreams.

So my tumbling through the years, without getting too personal, some years were sad, some years were happy and most years blended in together. However looking back through my years has brought some perspective on my own history and made me very excited to my future. If I had tried to fit everything into each decade I would not have enough room and the photo would be very cluttered.
